Crec que tots o tothom en algun moment de la nostra vida ens hem marcat que volíem ser millors en algun aspecte i inevitablement ens ha costat molt pensar que millors que nosaltres mateixos i hem triat ser millors que, ves a saber qui.
Des de ben petits els nens competeixen entre ells, volen el que te l’altre, fer el que fa el seu amic, ser millor que el millor de la classe o simplement decideixen comparar-se amb algú que els sembla millor que ells i pensar que no el podran superar mai.
Com tot, la competitivitat pot ser útil en alguns moments de la nostra vida, pot motivar-nos a aconseguir fites, que si no intenten imitar o superar a d’altres, potser no aconseguiríem. Però per mi el que té valor de debò és, ser competitius amb nosaltres mateixos. És a dir, tenir afany de superació i no pas fixar les nostres metes en algún agent exterior.
La competitivitat mal gestionada pot traduir-se o acompanyar-se d’altres sentiments com la ràbia, l’enveja i l’ennuig, entre d’altres, i pot desencadenar una frustració si no aconseguim ser com les persones amb les que competim, o superar-les. I si tot funciona i aconseguim superar a les persones amb les que competim, ens sentirem buits, sense fites, i haurem de cercar fora amb qui més volem competir, perquè aquest és el nostre instint.
Si el que fem és tenir un afany de superació, és a dir la fita la posem dins nostre, sempre podem millorar, sempre podem aconseguir més. Potser també ens frustrarem perquè no aconseguim tot el que volíem, però ho tenim dins nostre i, per tant, és més possible anar creixent, anar fent petits passos.
El “PerPensar d’avui potser ens farà riure una mica, però també ens permetrà parlar sobre la competitivitat, sobre fins on som capaços d’arribar per superar als altres i d’adonar-nos que quan el nostre focus està fora nostre, sempre cerca com superar als altres.
