No vull, però, que la meva filla cregui que tot està decidit, que només cal desitjar molt una cosa i esperar i, si estàs de sort, es complirà. De fet quan arriba a casa i, com és normal amb els nens, m’explica que algú té una ploma o una samarreta o ves a saber què de la bona sort, intento explicar-li que la sort en gran part ens la busquem nosaltres arriscant-nos, treballant, intentant, esforçant-nos. Com, suposadament, va dir el Thomas Jefferson, “sóc un ferm creient en la sort, i trobo que com més dur treballo, més sort tinc”.
A mi m’agrada ensenyar-li d’on surten les supersticions que, algunes, les ben intencionades, no són més que consells de saviesa popular transmesos de generació en generació, i que potser no tots tenen sentit al segle XXI. D’altres són un “negoci” que vol aprofitar-se de les nostres il·lusions.
Mireu el curt d’avui plegats i ensenyeu-los que de vegades l’atzar o la vida ens posa davant oportunitats bones i dolentes, però que són ells els qui, amb el seu sentit crític, amb la seva constància, amb els seu esforç, aconseguiran el que desitgen, o potser no, i que, tant en un cas com en l’altre, pel camí aprendran moltes coses.
Aprofitem també el curt d’avui, per desmitificar els contes de fades. La vida no sempre és rosa i no tothom té les mateixes innocents intencions. Dins el curt hi ha dues versions del que moltes vegades demanem, creient-nos erròniament que no cal fer res per aconseguir-ho.
