Ara que sóc mare començo a entendre a la meva, i m’adono de com de difícil, o millor dit impossible, és no patir pels fills i com ha de ser de contradictori deixar-los volar i que siguin ells els que van escrivint el seu propi destí sense influir-los amb les nostres experiències.
Quantes vegades, si penso fredament, em veig reflectida en les reaccions de la meva filla i en els comportaments de la meva mare! I és que tant amb l’una com amb l’altra compartim part del camí.
Abandonar el niu, separar-se per viure les seves il.lusions, descobrir el seu món, ser o fer-se gran és pel que preparem als nostres fills des de que neixen. Intentem donar-los autonomia, ensenyar-los a gestionar les seves emocions, que tinguin un bagatge cultural… Tot va encaminat a fer-los adults responsables que puguin viure la seva vida com ells la decideixin viure.
Possiblement molts de nosaltres, volent fer la nostra, vam pensar que no ens assemblaríem gens als nostres pares, però amb els anys segurament ens hem adonat que cadascú escriu la seva vida, o si més no ha d’intentar-ho, i que de vegades aquesta no és tan diferent a la dels que ens han vist créixer i ens han ajudat a fer-nos grans com pensàvem de bon principi.
Mireu el “PerPensar” d’avui i parleu sobre com de vegades creiem que no seríem mai com els nostres pares o que no faríem el que han fet ells, i de vegades el camí triat per nosaltres mateixos ens porta a llocs semblants. I ho fem feliçment, quan passen els anys de rebel·lia.
Expliqueu-los també que de vegades pares i fills ens assemblem més del que estem disposats a reconèixer, i que molts dels comportaments que veiem en els nostres fills, els hem tingut nosatres de la mateixa manera, però ens fa por que si els ho expliquem ho utilitzin com a excusa, perquè “tu també ho feies”.
I ensenyeu-los que els camins “exòtics”, els que no són com el pare i la mare, també comporten obligacions, i que el “pare i la mare” no són tan avorrits, o ploms, o vés a saber què, com ells imaginen.
Aprofiteu també per dir-los que tots tenim un paper a fer en aquesta vida i cal fer-lo tant bé com ens sigui possible.
