Com a mare em faig un fart de patir quan veig que la meva filla s’esforça per fer alguna cosa i no li surt bé, i de vegades em sento frustrada jo i sento ganes de solucionar-li els problemes per no fer-la “patir”, i no sempre m’adono de com d’important és que aprengui el valor de l’esforç.
Sembla que la nostra societat ha perdut una mica aquesta “cultura de l’esforç” i que ens decantem cap a les coses fàcils d’aconseguir. Si hi he de posar molt sacrifici no paga la pena.
Esforçar-nos, esdevenir tenaços i perseverants, és molt útil per créixer com a persona, com a esportista o com a professional del camp que ens interessi. I això cal ensenyar-ho als nostres fills i filles des de ben petits, tot deixant que siguin ells sols els que s’enfrontin a petites fites i que busquin com aconseguir superar-les. No podem donar-los-ho sempre tot fet, perquè llavors els fem petits.
L’esportista professional sap que per aconseguir ser bo en el seu esport ha de posar-hi moltes hores, ha de deixar de banda algunes coses i ha de superar-se i millorar dia rere dia i ho ha de fer ell per a ell mateix, no li ho pot fer un altre, ja que llavors no creixerà en el seu camp. Imaginem-nos sempre que som aquest esportista i que, si volem fer-nos grans, cal que ens ho plantegem tot com ell i que no fem que els altres ens aplanin el camí.

No oblidem que encara que sembli un valor que no està massa de moda, l’esforç ens fa créixer.
