De vegades quan et converteixes en pare o quan tens una feina com la meva en la que tens la responsabilitat de cuidar nens t’adones que la teva personalitat fa que siguis més o menys protectora. Surt a la superfície la teva actitud davant els perills.
Jo em definiria com una mare massa protectora i, ja sigui amb la meva filla o amb els altres, utilitzo sempre massa vegades la paraula “vigila” o “cuidado” (que ja sé que no és correcta, però és la que dic enlloc de “compte!”).
Utilitzar aquest tipus d’expressions fa que l’altra persona actuí davant segons quines situacions d’una forma determinada. Li estem dient que allò comporta un risc que considerem massa alt i, segons com sigui la persona, pot decidir no enfrontar-s’hi. Són el que s’anomenen frases limitadores i poden convertir-los en adults poc atrevits o amb por davant una situació que els sembli que comporta un risc.
Les frases limitadores, com ja hem explicat en altres “PerPensar” no són més que això: paraules o frases que diem, més o menys inconscientment, i que li transmeten a qui les escolta el que pensem que és o no és bo, o el que pensem que és capaç o no de fer.
Amb el temps ens podem adonar que és bo córrer de tant en tant algun risc i que si sempre vivim amb una sensació de por constant, no gaudim de les coses, no evolucionem, i passem una mica per la vida sense pena ni glòria, i quan ens adonem de tot el que hem perdut pel camí, ja és massa tard, ja no podem recuperar el temps perdut. Com va dir en Mark Twain “d’aquí a vint anys estaràs més decebut de les coses que no has fet, que de les que has fet.”
Mireu el curt d’avui i parleu amb els vostres fills també de les satisfaccions que en traiem dia rere dia de tot el que aprenem del que ens passa bo i no tant bo i treballeu amb ells el que en poden aprendre.
