Imagino que tots podríem seure i explicar-nos un munt d’anècdotes sobre les vegades que ens hem deixat portar per les aparences i la cosa no ens ha sortit bé. Quants cops hem comprat aquell estri fantàstic i meravellós que hem vist en un anunci i a nosaltres no ens ha fet més que nosa? quants cops hem fet aquella recepta que era fantàstica i que a la foto del Pinterest hem vist que ens faria quedar com els cuiners del segle i millor no ensenyar com ha quedat? quants cops van fer la conquesta de la nostra vida i sort que no ens vam donar ni el telèfon? i així podria anar posant exemples infinitament, oi?
I és que a aquestes alçades de la nostra vida molts de nosaltres ja hem après que, com diu el refranyer, “les aparences enganyen”i “tothom veu la cosa segons la ullera que es posa”. Ara la nostra feina es complica i potser el que volem és facilitar aquest aprenentatge als nostres fills i filles i que no triguin tant com nosaltres. Complicat.
Sóc del parer que per molt que pensem que els podem dir o predir què els passarà, fins que no ho facin per ells i ho vegin amb els seus ulls, no s’adonaran que teníem raó. Massa tard. Per tant crec que la nostra “feina” és acompanyar-los i escoltar-los. Ser-hi i ajudar-los si ens ho demanen.
Confiem en ells i deixem que siguin ells els que jutgin les coses i persones que tenen a veure amb ells, seguim-los de prop per evitar grans mals, però pensem que al igual que ells encara ara les aparences ens poden enganyar. Estem ajudant als nostres fills a fer-se grans i equivocar-se és una bona forma d’aprendre.
El curt d’avui ens pot donar un doble joc. Per una banda podem treballar amb ells els valors del respecte cap a les mascotes i la responsabilitat, però si mirem molt més enllà podem parlar amb els nostres fills de com no sols cal quedar-se amb les aparences.
