Quan jo era petita a la meva classe hi tenia un parell de companys que feien parar boig al professor. No sé si us sonaran, però eren aquells esbojarrats que sempre contestaven fent riure a tota la classe, que no seien mai, que el llapis els servia per menjar més que per escriure. Eren aquells que quan anàvem d’excursió eren feliços pujats dalt de l’arbre o els primers a caure dins el riu, mentre el professor o professora era a punt de patir un atac de cor.
També duien de cap a les seves mares ja que no paraven de fer malifetes ni un segon, no els en passava mai una de bona pel cap. Ostres! la resta ens ho passàvem tant bé amb ells! era un no parar de riure. Encara que a l’hora de fer la feina la cosa ja no era tan divertida. Sempre els renyaven, no entenien què fèiem i gairebé no feien mai la feina, o els deien que allò feia pena i que hi posessin ganes!
Ara, quan m’ho miro després de tants anys, penso que aquells nens amb qui compartia classe ara serien diagnosticats amb un de TDAH o TDH, i que de ben segur en algun dels casos els haurien aconsellat la via farmacològica per facilitar-los la vida… Per facilitar-li la vida a qui? No ho sé.
I és que de vegades les ments més despertes no poden parar quietes ni un segon i em pregunto si és bo donar-los la píndola que els “manté a ratlla” i perdre moltes ments meravelloses . Penso que cal donar-los llibertat i deixar-los moure, permetre’ls canviar de feines i anar fent tasques diferents a la vegada, i és igual si ho fan drets o estirats a terra. Que ho facin i que gaudeixin del que fan.
Si, a més els donem eines d’autoregulació, com la meditació, que els ajudin a relaxar-se, a desconnectar, i aprenen a ultilitzar-les, els estem ensenyant a solucionar problemes sense la necessitat d’ultilitzar tants fàrmacs.
Mireu-vos el “PerPensar” d’avui i pregunteu-vos què passa quan un nen, o un adult, trenca les normes i decideix fer les coses d’una manera diferent. Com ens ho agafem? Com ho vivim com a pares? I com a individus? Què passa quan ens sortim del que fa tothom o del com ho fa tothom?
Pregunteu-los si el que volen és que els convertim a tots en peces iguals, si els està bé fer el que els demanem que facin cada dia. Cal passar a tothom pel mateix sedàs? Els agrada que els sotmetem a la repetició per aprendre? o els agrada més quan poden aprendre rient i experimentant? Com se senten? iguals o diferents a la resta de companys? És bo o dolent aquest sentiment?
Pares, ens agradaria de vegades enviar-los a un altre planeta? Una píndola pot ser la solució? Què en volem, dels nostres fills? Quina societat volem? Què estem fent malament? i què podem fer cadascú per millorar-ho?
